How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP5590131 / 318255006 Oven Bake Element

Replaced element 

I found appliance pro by accident thru a recommendation I seen on google. I had a little problem ordering the part not for any other reason except my computer expertise is not that great. I called and within minutes I had the right part, paid for it including shipping, and that evening it was on its way. Dryer fixed after watching the video on repairs. Easy Smeezy worked just like it was supposed to. Now onto the electric stove. He heating element caught on fire and burned right thru. We lost about an inch in the element but no fire in the home. We spent 2 day looking for a new stove and OMG the cost of the was extreme. Well back at the house I looked up the appliance pro. Sure right there was the exact element I needed. This time no problems ordering on line. Watched the video and installed the part. Could not have taken more than 10 minutes for the repair. Everything is working now. Keeping fingers crossed because all the appliances were replaced at the same time. Not to worry however, I know who has the parts and will help. Matched the part according to the pictures. My appliance shows a I at the end and appliance only showed a picture for the appliance ending in a J. Not to worry they matched WOOHOO! 

Google found this site. Helped identify problem, & quickly suggested the part I needed. Had excellent simple step-by-step instructions to replace element, including things to watch out for, & even had a detailed video showing a replacement. Could not have been simpler. Took about 40 minutes; having another set of hands helped. Received part 36 hrs after ordering. 

Simply quick fix 2 screws couldn't have been easier 

This is a simple repair, requiring the removal of two phillips screws and unplugging the defective element. The hardest part was getting the screws to release because they had been heated and cooled for years. Make sure you have a good #2 Phillips screwdriver and a little elbow grease. The whole job takes about 5 minutes. 

Our oven is 18 years old but still looks like new. The oven bake coil needed replaced and we were sure we would end up having to get a new oven. I searched on line and found Appliance Parts.com. I was unable to find the right coil and not sure I could with the oven being an older model. I contacted the company and within 1 minute!!!! the order was entered and the new coil on it's way! I received it the following day! It took my husband 5 minutes to install and works like new.....we saved about $1,150!!! New oven or new coil?? Thanks to Appliance Parts.com we were able to choose the coil! Thank you so much! 

I went online to find an oven element for the model stove that I had. I saw AppliancePartsPros.com and had done business with them before very satisfactorily. The original oven baking element burned through. I removed the element by removing two screws. There were two wires attached that were easy to remove. I looked for a replacement part locally and all said the part would need to be ordered. So I searched the web and found AppliancePartsPro could get one to me in about 2 days just like the local companies could do but delivered right to my door for less money. I installed the new element in about 10 minutes. Thanks for the great service AppliancePartsPro.
