How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP5590131 / 318255006 Oven Bake Element

After watching a repair video on YouTube done by appliancepartspros, I saw it was an easy swap. I had to do some digging to figure out what my oven model number was and the element that I got is a different shape than the original but the leads fit perfectly and the backplate was the correct size. It's as easy as unplugging the oven, taking out the old element and connecting in the new element the same way. Working great so far! 

Unscrewed the bake element (Lower one) and unplugged it from the oven. Used a ohm meter to determine that the element was bad. After I took it out, it was easier to see that it had a bad spot toward the rear. I ordered a new one from appliance parts pros. The part took a couple of days to come in. It was the exact one i needed. Then i plugged it in and screwed it in place. I tested it. It worked fine. 

I removed the two screws inside the range holding the heating element in.Next I unplugged the range then I pulledd the element out and unplugged the wires hooked to the end of it .I put the new element in plugged up the two wired and put the screws back in.I plugged the range back in and turned the oven on 

We will be installing it this weekend...
