How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP5590131 / 318255006 Heating Element

We called repairman who assessed the problem, new element required. We ordered element ourselves, which came within a day, and installed ourselves saving over $350.00 of the repairman estimate. Element fits and works perfectly. Very happy. 

Replaced the oven bake element 

Ordered the new heating element from AppliancePartsPros.com on Saturday. Part arrived on Tuesday. Watched the videos on the parts site, and followed the same process. Helped that the new element matched perfectly, including electrical connectors. 

Replaced the broken heating element. Best part was I ordered the part on Thursday morning, it was shipped on Thursday afternoon and it arrived on Friday! 

Installed the new bake element. 

I used the model number for my stove and found the replacement part. It came more quickly than I had expected, always a plus! My husband and I watched a short YouTube video, then he removed the old part and replaced it with the new one. When he was finished, we turned on the oven and it worked! I roasted veggies for our supper and then turned on the clean cycle to finish up what I had started when the old element flamed out. A very positive experience!

Acquired a new heating element with help of tech to find the right one. 

Replaced the Bake Element. The most difficult aspect of this repair was locating the correct element. The stove is 20+ years old, and I want to keep it repaired. I can my garden produce and the newer stoves will NOT maintain a consistent heat. Making them impossible to use for canning. Thanks to AppliancePartsPros.com, I was able to obtain the correct element. My package arrived sooner than I expected. They had a video of how to replace the element online which was easy to follow and very helpful. I am a happy customer.
