How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3965251 / 154106202 Heating Element Nut

New locknut on heating element 

Replaced it. 

Best price I found on web. Ordered one day and it came the next morning. 

Used a 1/2" box wrench removed old nuts replaced with new very easy fix customer service was very helpful for exact part shipped fast thank you Dom 

Replaced cracked heating element nut with one of the new ones I ordered. Worked great. 

Disconnected and pulled dishwasher out then reconnected and ran to view source of leak. Saw that leak was coming from the heating element connection. Tried to tighten nut but it wouldn't hold. Saw that it was cracked. Wrote down serial and model #s and typed into AppliancePartsPros.com and was able to purchase the replacement nuts. I bought two to change both connections. Parts arrived in two days and took less than a half hour to disconnect and pull dishwasher, replace nuts and reinstall. No leak and I probably saved $150 in repair charges. Watched video on how to replace but honestly, it wasn't necessary to make the repair. 

I replaced the cracked nut that covered the heating element. They are real thin and sometimes crack under heat. This was a Frigidair dishwasher. Pull the white plug on heat element and replace nut. 

Ordered new nuts for the heating element and replaced old ones. 

Replaced brass nut holding the element on. Super easy just annoying. Parts store was cheap and quick and had great diagrams to easily find the part I needed. 

Replace the element and dishwasher work great
