How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3965136 / 241716101 Refrigerator Ice Dispenser Auger

New auger and bar..easy fix and really liked the super fast shipping 

I noticed that the auger and the plate were worn and not holding the rest of the assembly together properly. I found the parts I needed on your website and with the help of your video was able to fix it. 

New driver blade and auger ordered. 

Needed a total overhaul. Auger, Drum, Drive Blade and housing. The videos were very helpful and took about 15 minutes from start to finish. Seems like it crushes ice better than when it was new. For repairs like these, it's cost effective to do it yourself. The website has everything you need (literally). 

Replaced auger, blade, and drum, although I only needed to replace the auger. 

Bought the ice auger part 

I first watched the video on this repair in the AppliancePartsPros website which helped immensely. I took some pictures before starting and during disassembly which was also helpful. 

I first tried to superglue the broken drum back together and then glued the drive blade onto the drum, but that only worked overnight and into the next day. This time I used actual replacement parts, watched the short video, and the repair was very easy. So far it has been several days, (since Tuesday morning) and all looks well and seems to be functioning properly. 

After searching the web I found APP. Their FAQ helped understand the problem, their exploded view diagrams helped locate suspect or damaged parts. In my case I found that the Drive Blade was installed backwards from the factory. So over time ( 10 years) the blade dislodged from the Drum cracking it, and by freewheeling, it wore out the stop point on the Auger. After watching the how to videos,which were to the point, no fluff. In other words excellent. I Order the reasonably priced parts, which came promptly. In a short amount of time, I was doing my End Zone Dance. Thanks APP, you've just replaced 2 sites on my favorites bar. 

Auger & drive blade was worn out and plastic drum broken. replace no problem. The high price of metal parts was so high that a friend said he can make them cheaper next time for me. All suppliers had about the same price Repair video was very helpful.
