Received parts from ApplianceParts on Friday afternoon--very quick delivery. Saturday morning, I removed Ice bin and determined that the replacement bin was too large for the space occupied by the old bin. Not good. I then removed the ice maker--the replacement was the exact same equipment as the OEM equipment. I replaced the ice maker. I performed a 'field expedient" on the storage bin. I removed the mechanism from the new bin and it fit perfectly into the old bin. I replaced the modified old bin into its proper location. When I turned the new ice maker on, nothing happened. ANGER! I was just about to remove and repack the equipment for shipment back to you. BUT FIRST, I decided to watch the video demonstrating how to install a Whirlpool replacement ice maker included in your instructions. Almost at the end of the video, your technician mentioned that the new ice maker might have to cool down to freezing temperatures before it would work. I decided to wait. After some time, she,who must be obeyed, told me that she thought she had heard ice falling into the bin. EUREKA! Everything is working! I am a 73 year old CPA, not that mechanically inclined! BYW, it did take longer than five minutes to write this review! :-)
