How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP6332951 / 241798231 Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly

Ordered new ice maker. It came in on the expected date. Very easy to replace. Ice maker works great now. 

Replaced icemaker. Was easy but the 2 screws are mounted on the side of the freezer so getting to see them was difficult. had to do it more by feel. 

Ordered new replacement ice maker. The plug would not fit on my refrigerator requiring that the old plug to be removed from the existing ice maker and then installed onto the new icemaker. The icemaker works perfect now. 

Odered a new ice maker. 

Replaced water filter and ice machine 

Replaced the 'teeth' part 

Took the old one out and cleaned it out and checked wheels in front ( little motor cogs) and ordered a new one. While waiting for new one to arrive I replaced the old one and it started working so I have not installed the new one! Now I have a new one extra. 

Replaced the water valve first. That did nothing. Then replaced the icemaker and now we have cubes. 

Loosened two screws lifted old ice maker up unplugged. replaced with new ice maker from AppliancePartsPros. Easy fix. 

Replaced the unit in just under 10 minutes after watching the video this site provided. Before buying the part, this site made it simple to make sure I had the right part and provided a video on replacing that part. I saved over 200 bucks doing it myself. As a side note, called several repair outlets in my area all said the same thing, 95 dollars to show up at my door, 170 dollars an hour to repair plus cost of parts. Part was around 80 dollars more then this site offered and may or may not be oem.
