Eric M Rockford , MI October 23, 2014 My top loader frigidaire washer was not spinning or draining I initially had removed the front panel cover to check the tubes for blockage and check the drain pump for any article of clothing which may have gotten from the tub into the houses. This checked out okay so then started down the list, starting with the Lid Lock Switch Assembly. It was not making a click when tested so made an educated guess the switch had gone bad. I did a quick Google search and AppliancePartsPros popped to the top of the list. I found the part I needed and with a click submit of the button I had my replacement switch within 2 days. I swapped out the switches in a matter of 2 minutes and presto, the washer began to spin and drain. Walter R Pittsfield , ME December 19, 2014 Gfci outlet for washer had tripped followed by intermittent stopping or failure to start Found lid switch had melted. Ordered new part. New part was different from OEM part. Read installation instructions, and learned the new part would fit. I did have to drill one new hole in the top lip of the side panel to make it fit, but it was much cheaper than paying someone to fix it. Again, appliancepartspros.com saved me lots of money. Thanks guys. Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
