How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP2107144 / 131560100 Motor

Upon inspection, I found that the grease in the bearing housing was totally dried up. I was able to temporarily get it fixed by adding a high temp, non-bleeding grease. I ordered the new motor from AppliancePartsPros using their search engine with dryer model number on Monday and it arrived Wednesday. I watched the video and was able to complete the repair in less than 30 minutes. Thank you. 

Remove and replaced motor. 

Simply disassembled dryer, removed motor and replaced it. Washer was more difficult, in removing old transmission, due to corrosion. However, all new parts were correct, additional items included and repair was straight forward enough. The Major annoyance, was that ALL that was wrong with the Washer, was the One-Way bearing at the bottom of the transmission shaft and this one part is NOT AVAILABLE. Couldn't find it for sale ANYWHERE. Rats 

Replaced the motor following PartsPros. Video instructions,and now it’s working good as new. Wife can’t believed I did it myself. Thanks a lot to appliancepartsPros. 

Ended up replacing the motor, it works great now.

I replaced both the top and bottom felt seals, the drum glides, rear bearing and ball assemblies, the blower and the motor after ruining the shaft trying to remove the old blower fan. Other than the difficulties removing the blower fan from the old motor, the repairs went well. The videos on making the repairs were extremely helpful. 

Decided to look into the repair of the existing 19-year-old dryer, since the washer is still working. Watched the videos related to the replacement parts and after an hour or two of work. The dryer is working, like new again. The cost for my do-it-yourself repair was less than 10% of the cost of purchasing a brand new stacked wash/dryer combo for $2168.00 on sale for Presidents Day. AppliancePartsPros.com…ROCK! I will be replacing the drive belt in my 19 year old washer, as well, basically, because the video shows how easily it can be done. Really, it’s a No Brainer, exercise.

Found a burnt and melted blower flange and broken motor rear bushing. Replacing all the parts was easy after figuring out how to remove the drum. All the parts arrived quickly. srr
