How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP2107144 / 131560100 Motor

I replaced the motor, the original motor was shot. I cleaned and oiled the motor but it was a temporary fix because the bushings were worn to much. When the motor was running there was a lot of vibration noise and to start the old motor it would buzz and hum to start up. Now with the new motor in place it starts and runs as it should, huge difference. In the future I should clean around the motor area more often, it accumulates a lot of lint inside that confined space. 

Replaced motor. While I had it apart, I also replaced the drum bearing and the belt, as they were inexpensive parts. AppliancePartsPros video on how to remove the blower fan from the motor was instrumental to success. I had a notion to do what the video instructed, but seeing it done gave me the confidence I wasn't going to do irreparable harm to the blower. The video also revealed how easy it was to remove the drum. 

Replaced timer switch on washer...very easy. The dryer was more of a challenge.....replaced start switch, kit for rear drum bearing, blower housing assembly and motor. Could not have completed job without video tutorials on your website. Competitive parts pricing and quick delivery was a bonus. Thanks for the fine service. 

Replaced motor. Very straight forward after watching repair videos. If you have never removed blower housing, I would advise just ordering a new one. Could not remove mine delaying repair by 1 day. While apart, I replaced rear drum bearing, idler pulley, belt, and heating element in addition to motor n blower housing over course of 3 days (ordered 3 different orders each day). Total time in project actually working was a couple hours. Dryer lasted 13 years without issues so hoping to get 13 more years. 

Replaced moter and blower assembly 

Ordered electric motor. 

I replaced the drum motor and fan blower assembly. The motor seized up and then trying to remove the fan, the plastic 7/8 nut stripped and needed replacement. The videos helped with each step of the job. Dryer seems brand new. 

Ordered new motor and the first motor I received did not fix it Appliance Pros sent me another next day I received it problem resolved thanks AP. 

Replace the motor myself 

I work for an apartment complex as a maintenance technician so I was able to diagnose the problem as a faulty motor. I ordered and installed a new motor as well as a new blower assembly.
