How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP2107144 / 131560100 Motor

Replaced motor and idler arm pulley assembly. Tip - follow the video instructions. Do not remove metal clip and plastic brace that hold motor down before trying to loosen fan bolt. Clip and brace help keep motor in place while loosening blower fan bolt. Recommend replacing motor and idler arm assembly at same time. Both can cause noise when old and worn. 

I replaced the thermal limiter and the motor. I watched the videos online and it was pretty easy. 

After pulling the top and front cover off it was apparent that the fan in the air blower assembly had broke. Once I pulled that assembly apart I noticed that altough the motor was still running, it was showing some signs of wear so, I decided I may as well replace it too along with the belt. I ordered the blower assembly, belt, and new motor with a expected delivery day of Monday. Well, the parts arrived on Friday night, one day after placing the order and two day early which was great since I was able to get it all back together over the weekend, not have to deal with it after work during the week. Because we had recently cleaned the vent and interior of the unit, we knew that a blockage wasn't the trouble. We determined it was an issue with the motor and decided to replace it. The part arrived within a few days and we were able to swap it out in about an hour. We tested it hard by working through the backlog of laundry that had accumulated while the unit was down. Success! All cycles ran through completion, every load dry on the first run through. 

My handyman came to the rescue. Less than 45 minutes. I’m back in business saved me money, no need for a new dryer. Got all parts replaced less than $200.00. He saved me lots of money. Thank you also for the fix it video very helpful 

I ordered a motor and replaced it. The repair took about 20 or 30 minutes. Dryer works fine now. 

After removing the lint and not finding a start cap , I ordered a new motor. It arrived the next morning (standard freight). I can't get a letter from the next town that fast.............awesome ! My wife is happy, me too. Thank you 

Motor burnt out on Frigidaire dryer. Blower fan would not come off the shaft of the motor. So had to order new blower and housing. Parts came quickly from Appliance Parts Pros, and they had the lowest price available. Substantial savings. Blower housing had a fault either in a original assembly or from Shipping Damage, and a new one was promptly sent out. The repair video that was provided worked quite well. Thank you. Dryer is up and running.
