Ronald S Monson , MA July 22, 2018 First the heating element for baking burned out, so I replaced it with a new one. Went to heat the oven up, no heat with new element so I still had another problem. So after replacing the heating element for baking and having it not work. I still had the broiler element working, I switched the wires on the back of the control board to see if the baking element would heat up on the broiler setting and it did. So that narrowed it down to the control board being bad. So I replaced the control board and also the overlay with it. My oven is back in business. For some reason the control board relay for baking must have shorted out when the baking element burned out. Oh well thanks to AppliancePartsPros.com my oven is working again and it was a very easy fix to do your self. Read More... Phu N Braintree , MA July 28, 2017 My oven would not turn on and digital clock on stove was not working. First of all I don't know much about fixing appliances. But I read through the forums on appliance part pros to get a generalize idea of what could be the issue. Turned out to be the oven control board. Then just checked my diagnosis and plan to fix it with a customer service rep on the phone. Watched the videos that were available on the site. Really straight forward and extremely helpful. Wayne W Clive , IA December 08, 2014 Appliance: Model FRIGIDAIRE GLEF379DQG Cracked peeling ovelay on range controls and overheating oven (f10 error code) My oven was overheating and generating an F10 error code. I discovered that a new clock/timer unit was a likely fix. The old clock/timer unit overlay was cracked and peeling off so I figured I'd address both issues simultaneously. I removed the back of the range, unscrewed and pulled out the old clock/timer unit. I then applied the overlay (it has a sticky back) to the new clock/timer unit and mounted it into the range. This was a simple case of plugging in a couple of strip connectors and a few control wires. In total, it took about 15 min (I spent longer moving the range away from the wall and trying to get it back in place again than I did doing the repair). Read More...
