How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP5184988 / 5304483065 Electronic Pc Board

When I pulled the cover off, I found that one of the components on the PC board had overheated to the point of charring. I pulled the old board, installed the new one and the unit started working normally. Prior to pulling the board, I took several pictures from different angles so I would have a record of which wires were plugged in to which connector. The biggest problem I had was working with the small wires in tight spaces with my big fingers while trying not to break something else.

Replaced main control board had 2 burned relays now working fine 30 minutes of work time 

I goggled the issue, seems to be a common problem with these units, I ordered both the main circuit board and the circuit board controlling the switches. I replaced the main circuit board in about an hour, hard to get at, take lots of pictures where they wires plug into, I plugged it in and it’s working! Saved me 600 bucks from buying a new one! I’ll return the unopened part or keep it just in case, the person I spoke with was very helpful, I almost ordered the wrong part, but she got me squared away. Very very fast and prompt service, will definitely recommend this web page for further repairs for appliances. 

Replaced board! Advice to all, take several pictures of where wire leads go for future reference. 

With these parts it now operates as when it was new !!!! 

Ordered the control board, removed the old one and replaced it with the new one and it works perfect! Take pictures of the wires before you unplug everything so you know where it goes. First time I've ever been inside an ac unit and it wasn't hard. Took about an hour. 

Fan relay was burnt out. Removed and installed new pc board. 

""FIRST OF ALL"",,, I want to say,, WOW,, What great service,, PLUS,, I ordered part on 04/08/2016 @ 3:33 PM Texas Time,, Received my PC Board the ""VERY"" next day @ 10:10 AM,,, With ""STANDARD"" Shipping no less to,, It took me about 20 minutes or so to cut the glue off 3 connections with a exacto knife,, But other than that,, ""BASICALLY"" It takes longer to take the unit apart,, Than it does to put in new board,, I used my tablet and took pictures before I changed out the board for back up on the wiring,, Even though I am Retired,,I am a licensed Commercial HVAC TECH,, I have not worked on to many window units,, Much less things on a smaller scale,, It was a fun little project to do and fix and diagnose the problem,, I was in contact via e-mail with Kelly and had a professional attitude like no other places I have ordered parts from,, Will "DEFINETLY" call this place my go to,,, To get parts and or service
