How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3963654 / 316490000 Oven Probe

Installed a new sensor probe. ApplianceParts had a great video on how to check and see if the probe was bad and another video on how to install. Very easy fix. 

I went on the internet and researched symptoms and found that the temperature probe was a common culprit. I ordered the probe, installed it and have had no calls from my tenants. 

I purchased the control board and installed it. The video appliance parts pro has for repairs and installation of parts is excellent. Now that we've moved to a very rural area we have to do more repairs ourselves which is intimidating to city people used to calling a repair man. My husband and I love the support videos. We also bought the oven probe since our oven never heated to the temp on the dial. Installed easily and our over works better than new. Thanks. 

I read that the controller and probe controlled the oven temperature. Also read if replacing controller you should replace the overlay. So I ordered all three parts and installed myself with no problem. I took a photo with my phone prior to unplugging wires so I knew the right way to plug the wires into the new controller. Works like new. Only need a nut driver and screwdriver to repair. Job from star to finish approximately 30 minutes. 

Took back cover off stove removed probe with one screw, four screws to remove control board reversed order to repair and I have a working stove. un plug stove first. 

This is the second time this code appeared. Thanks to the folks at Appliance Parts, I was able to easily fix it myself! $25 for the part and literally 10 minutes. The videos on their site allowed me to easily confirm how to repair it the first time. This time it was easy to do alone. I saved myself $110 as I asked how much to repair an F10 code from a repair center. Definitely recommend checking this site out before hiring someone else to repair your appliance if you want to save cash! 

I'm no genius, but a couple of YouTube videos, the right tools, and 30 minutes was all I needed to do the replacement. Appliancepartspros.com made it easy to find the right part, charged a fair price, and shipped wicked fast. I've used these guys a few times now, and I can also add that they're not great just sometimes; they're consistently great. You'll need a small selection of screwdrivers and/or a socket set. If you have eyes like mine, you'll probably also need a flashlight. You're about to save yourself $300-$400 by doing this yourself: good luck! 

My oven was only 7 years old when it failed with error - f10 err. The recommended fix was to replace the oven sensor and/or Electronic Control Board, or ECB. Unfortunately the probe did not fix the problem and had to install the ECB. The good news is that worked fine. Ordering the parts from Appliance.PartsPROS.com was easy and the instructional video's were very helpful. I saved a bunch by doing the job myself. Thanks! Andy 

Simple, I went to AppliancePartsPros.com as I have done in the past searched for the part I needed and ordered it! Put it in as soon as I got it, took less than a couple minutes to install and my oven is working like brand new! Won't shop anywhere else!
