How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP8038877 / 140229954072 Upper Rack Assembly (Dishwasher)

Purchased replacement racks. Placed order on a Friday and received replacement parts the next day. How can you beat that kind of service? 

I’m not sure why my original racks rusted, but it may have been because I was running all cycles on the hottest setting. I replaced both upper and lower racks easily. I will only run dishwasher on normal cycle and air dry. 

The parts fit, the repair video made it easy to swap the replacements parts. The only difference is the new lower rack doesn’t have the fold down prongs for bigger pots and pans that my old rack had. Overall satisfied with project.

I did a search on the internet and found Appliance Parts Pros. They had the parts I needed in stock. I placed an order and it arrived the next day! Great service to say the least. I watched the video on how to change out some parts on the upper rack and reinstall the new part. I did have to use a screwdriver to pry a piece off of the old rack due to the rust. Other than that, no tools required. Easy Peasy! Much better than having to buy a new appliance. 

The directions on the video made it very easy. It took less than 10 minutes.
