How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3777104 / 134440200 Upper Felt Seal

A good friend of mine help me replaced the felt and the new drum slide from my dryer. Taking the dryer apart was the toughest part you had to make sure that you remember where the screws went. Once the replacement parts were done it only took us about 30 minutes to put the dryer back together and the dryer works exactly as it did prior to the part breaking. Successful story and saved myself about $300. WOOHOO 

I'm so thankful that I stumbled across these helpful videos on YouTube! I ended up ordering parts through this company because the videos were so helpful. I started by taking the dryer apart to evaluate what parts looked worn. I then ordered a rear drum bearing kit as well as felt and glides. I figured that I may as well replace everything so that I don't have to worry about any of these parts for awhile. The parts arrived very quickly and I was able to complete the project in a couple hours. Now my wife thinks I can fix anything! The dryer is running smooth. Thanks! 

Replaced guide, and felt seals around drum rim and exhaust seal. Disassembled the dryer to see if I could even accomplish the task and with the help of the great videos, the disassembly went as planned. I verified the parts required and ordered them by 3pm and they arrived the following afternoon. One part was missing so I called customer service and they had it shipped immediately and it arrived the following day. With everything in hand, the repair went perfectly and the dryer is running as like it was new (actually better than new). The next time an appliance does not work, I will definitely be on the Appliance Parts Pros web page. 

I took apart the appliance and found the problem spot. Looked online for parts and found appliancepartspros.com and placed my order. 

Replaced felt, glides, rear drum bearing, and heating element. Working great now. 

Replaced glides and upper and lower felt seal 

Installed new glides, upper felt seal, and lower felt seal. 

We followed the video to replace the upper felt seal. While the case was open, we also cleaned out all the dust and lint inside. The only complication we had was an extra screw that didn't seem to go anywhere. The dryer is working fine so I guess that's ok. 

I was VERY happy with parts, fit, video, shipping and installed in less than one hour. Only thing was I may suggest adding the sealer/glue needed for drum felt wear glide. Thanks
