How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3891852 / 241707701 Starter Device

After i pulled out the cover at the lower back side covering the compressor i noticed that it is the connection plug with the compressor. it was the starter and the capasiter burned out. i logged to too many websites and the u tube, how to fix...... i ordered the parts from appliancepartsPros.com, it cost me $ 55.55 i hooked it up in its place and the frig is running so good right now, i would have paid at least more than $ 250 if i asked a guy from cooling and heating to do it for me . thank you 

I inspected the evaporator coil in the freezer. I then looked at the compressor, felt of it and realized it wasn't running. I removed the compressor relay, noticed it was rattling pretty good, so I ohmed it out. The meter read a resistance of about 30 ohms, which didn't seem appropriate. So, with the help of AppliancePartsPros.com I replaced the compressor relay. 

I replaced the new starter and capacitor. 

Turns out it was the starter that needed replacement. Fridge running fine. 

Replaced starter - comparatively quick, easy, and inexpensive. 

Ordered compressor starter and run capacitor from AppliancepartsPros. Parts were the originals, both in sealed packaging. Replace parts, plugged in frig. and has work perfectly since. 

Replaced capacitor and starter for about replaced starter and capacitor for about $50 and fridge is working great again. 4500 

Used the recommended parts and it was fixed !! 

Troubleshooting to find the cause whether it is the refrigerator that is the problem or other appliances close by or internal dry wall wiring was causing the burnt smell took time. Then I narrowed it down to the refrigerator. After which i cleaned the condenser coil and that didn't help. Then I noticed sparks in the compressor relay switch and hence I Changed the compressor relay switch and its assocaited capacitor. 

Replaced both parts not to hard and now my 1,440.00 fridge is working again. Thank you for your site.
