How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3891852 / 241707701 Starter Device

Checked on internet, followed instructions how to diagnose problem and they suggested a starter and capacitor. Ordered them, paid extra for 2 day delivery and received in 2 days, installed and it works Great!!! Thanks 

Ordered parts from you folks and replaced them, 

After determining where the smoking was coming from. And then examining the parts I went online and found the diagram for my model refrig. From there I found out the name of the part that was actually burning. It was the starter. On top of the starter the plastic had melted showing only the metal terminals. I ordered the starter part removed the burnt one which was pretty easy to do. When I started to replace it the terminals from the compressor run capacitor wouldn't fit into the starter plugs. I had to open the starter and pry open the metal plugs just a bit. I put the starter back together plugged the compressor run capacitor into it. Refrigerator now working fine.
