Kent Mciff December 12, 2020 for Model Number FFTR2021TS BOUGHT THIS FRIDGE LEVELED IT PLUGED IT IN AND LET COOL DOWN FOR 24 HOURS ! LOADED FOOD IN AND NEXT DAY NO POWER AT ALL TO FRIDGE OUTLET GOOD NO RESET BUTTON UNPLUGED AND LET SIT PLUGED BACK IN NOTHING WHAT COULD IT BE?
1 Answer Kent, If there is no power to the outlet that the refrigerator is hooked up to then this will be a home electrical issue. If there is no power to the refrigerator but there is power to the outlet then I would look for damage to the power cord and make sure that where the cord plugs to the refrigerator that there is 120 vac to it. If there is no power at that connection point then the power cord would be faulty and need to be replaced. Read More...

Marty January 18, 2020 for Model Number GE Freezer FCM20SUB WW The compressor stop running. What do I need? starter? Run capacitor? relay? overload? Also White Westinghouse freezer. the compressor stopped running-same problem; embrace em40sc compressor relay 216008900. What part numbers do I need to buy from you?
1 Answer Marty, You would want to try the start device for the compressor not working. The part number would be WR07X10105. On the Westing house the part number for the start device is 216008900 but has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available. Read More...
Pj December 14, 2019 for Model Number FFTR1821QW0 Our Frigidaire will not run. We replaced the capacitor but it still will not start. What should I replace next? Thank you.
1 Answer PJ, if the compressor will not start, the start device, 297259528 is the more common failure. The capacitor is not what actually starts the compressor but is designed to help the compressor run more efficiently. Anytime the evaporator fan and the condenser fan is running, the compressor should be running. If these other fans are not running and the refrigerator is completely quiet, it is either stuck in defrost or the main control is defective. Read More...
Early1 June 20, 2018 for Model Number FFHS2611PF2 Freezer side is working fine, and you can hear the evaporator fan running. The fridge side is not cooling properly, don't hear compressor kicking in like before, would that be due to faulty starter?
1 Answer Early1, With the freezer side working, the starter would not be causing the refrigerator section to not cool. You will want to check to make sure that the damper is opening and if it is then also check to make sure that there is nothing blocking the return air duct at the bottom left wall. if these check ok then check for a defrost issue. Kali February 11, 2017 for Model Number FPHI2187KR0 My freezer top refrigerator, which is 4-5 years old is no longer freezing foods. Cold air is blowing so fan is working but it is insufficient to freeze foods. I notice that the air blowing out of the bottom of the unit is cool as well.
1 Answer Kali, When the refrigerator starts to cool, do you hear a louder than usual click noise or perhaps a humming noise ? The air blowing out the bottom of the refrigerator should be pretty warm/hot. The cooler air would indicate the compressor isn't running or the condenser coil isn't transferring the heat from the coil to the room air. You'll need to move the refrigerator out, to get behind it, remove power to the refrigerator, check and clean the condenser coils, and area as well as the compressor area then plug the cord into the outlet and check and listen to see if the compressor starts and runs. If you hear a louder click, or hum from the compressor, then replace the start device. Read More...

Todd E December 15, 2014 for Model Number FFSS2614QS Run capacitor #297286803 We have a Frigidaire refrigerator that is only 2-1/2 years old and had the run capacitor and starter caught fire. We unplugged unit from the wall and detected that the run capacitors internal protection failed and burned up the starter just above it. Is this a common problem with these units? The parts to repair the unit are under $50. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Hello Todd. It is not common but does happen. You will need to replace the starter on the unit. Read More...
Donnie August 11, 2014 for Model Number PHS68EJSB0 Hello, I noticed that the ice in my ice maker was slowly melting. After further inspection, I realized that the temperature in both the refrigerator and freezer was too high, and was slowly rising. I removed the back panel in the freezer to access the evaporator fan motor, and found the fan to be functioning properly. The evaporator is cold, but not frozen. I have removed the starter device and run capacitor. The starter device is not rattling, and the capacitor doesn't look, or smell, burned. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank You! Donnie
