We pulled the range away from the wall, unplugged the power cord, took the control knobs off the front, and the upper back panel off the range. Being careful not to disturb the wires,we pulled the original switch from the back. One wire at a time was removed and plugged into the new switch. This way we were sure not to get them mixed up. When all wires were attached, we plugged the switch back in and attached the control knob. We then repeated the steps with the other switch. When both were replaced, we plugged the power cord in and tested the control knobs. They both worked just fine.
