How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP5956465 / A01986801 Upper Rack Assembly

I ordered an upper and a lower rack along with what I thought was only the sprayer arm. When it was delivered, a new metal rack was included with it. 

Replaced thwe top manifold with gasket and new basket with rollers 

According to my research I could not just replace just the arm, so I ordered the "package" that included the washer arm, rack and snap on roller assembly's. The replacement was very quick and simple. I have a Frigidaire dishwasher. I simply removed the two tabs at the end of the roller track (just unsnap and remove), then rolled the existing rack out. I then snapped the washer arm to the bottom of the new rack. Then snapped the two roller assembly's onto the side of the rack (look close and you will see they are marked right and left). Once parts were snapped in place, I rolled the new rack into the roller tracks in the dish washer and put the end caps back on the roller track. Done! 

Called A.P.P and ordered the parts needed. Fast shipping from them we got the part a day later. Removed the Upper Rack Asmy, and replaced it with the new one. 

Handyman insisted part not available anywhere and new d/w was needed. Found parts online. Appliance Parts Pros were half the cost of other online sites. And they provided a video before purchasing to show the simplicity of the installation. We ordered the part. It shipped that day. When it arrived it took about 10 seconds to install. We saved the cost of a new d/w AND the cost of a repairman installing the part. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros! 

I chatted with a rep to make sure that I was getting the correct part. I found out that you can't just order the sprayer part, you have to order the top rack as well. I watched a video on how to remove the end caps for the wheel tracks so I could take the drawer out. I decided to use the new drawer (although my old one was still okay). I was able to attach the new sprayer by using my old rack as a guide. Attaching the wheels to the rack were an issue. I didn't have the same kind on my old rack and there was no video on how to do this that I could find. You have to make sure that the wheels put the rack in the right place so that the sprayer lines up with the water supply hole on the back wall of the dishwasher. The wheels snap very tightly into place on the rack. If they don't, then they may fall off, as they did during one of my attempts to attach them to the rack. It would have been helpful and saved some time to have had a video to show how to attach these wheels. Overall it wasn't a difficult repair. 

Easiest repair possible. Just screwed in the upper arm and snapped in the lower arm on the wash rack. 

Replaced the spray arm and basket with replacement parts. All pieces snapped in quite easily. I failed at first to completely snap roller attachments to the basket and they fell off, but corrected that easily. 

Ordered the part, had it the next day, pulled up the YouTube repair video on my tablet and had it installed in less than 5 minutes. 

Replaced Middle and Upper wash arms.
