How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP5948913 / 807047901 Frigidaire Dishwasher Inlet Valve

Simple replacement. Only took about 10 minutes. 

I located leak,I ordered part and replaced it. 

Normally, this would be a flapper or drain pump issue. However, the reason for the excess water was a bad fill valve - the fill valve was very slowly dripping out water thus filling up the bottom of the dishwasher. The rubber seal in the fill valve had deteriorated with time. I suspect that many Frigidaire dishwasher not draining issues are due to water leaks from the fill valve and not from the drain pump or flapper valve. To detect this problem you can place a paper towel on the fill water outlet port. You also can see if the amount of water in the bottom of the dishwasher increases over time after the wash cycle is complete. 

The valve was leaking. So I ordered the correct part from appliance parts pros & now it works perfectly. 

Replaced it and put a real hose clamp on the side as the cheapo factory clamp leaked after replacing part. Have one handy 3/4 to 1 1/2 skinny clamp. I had to go out and get on to finish 

Replaced the valve that was cross threaded when unit was installed 

Replaced the inlet valve, dishwasher working great. 

Upon reading a few sources online I believed that the water valve was the issue. I then watched the YouTube video from your company and saw how easy a fix it would be. I ordered the part from you, it arrived the next day. I then replaced it in accordance to your video. It took approximately 20 min. Problem solved! Thank you. 

Ordered the needed part from AppliancePartsPros.com, and it arrived the NEXT DAY! Great service. It was fixed by a friend who could do the repair. Used a Phillips screwdriver to remove the bottom two screws (each side) on the outer door panel. Lift the door back up. Remove the outer door panel and set aside. Using a `1/4" nut driver. Remove the screws from the access panel and set the access panel aside. Used pliers to remove the hose fitting on the fill valve. Remove the water valve bracket/valve. Unplug the water valve harness.. Using the pliers slide the fill hose clamp up and remove the fill valve. Replace the fill valve and put it back together in reverse order. 

I replaced the water Inlet Valve.
