Took the old heating element out and put the new one in. Turned the oven back on and it lit up like a Christmas tree! I was so thankful that I didn't have to buy a brand new oven. Elizabeth K Raymore , MO March 20, 2017 Bake element burned out; had noticed an approx 1 inch spot on the element that didn't light up so was in process of going out Ordered new baking element online from Appliance Parts Pros.com. Had contacted local place and with their fairly local shipping they wanted $113 and paid less than $60 with shipping with APP. The connections with the wires in the back weren't as snug as I thought they should be and the screw holes in the oven box itself a little off but kept working at it and finally got all the connections made and it worked! (video on website said they were phillips-head but on my oven (house build late 90's) they were socket screws). 70-year old female here so very proud of myself. CAUTION WHICH SHOULD GO WITHOUT SAYING: BE SURE YOU TURN OFF ELECTRICAL SWITCH AT MAIN ELECTRICAL PANEL BEFORE PROCEEDING!!!! JUST SAYING LOL Read More...
