How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2031028 / WB44X195 Bake Element

Replaced the coil 

Installed new part. 

Appliance Parts Pros helped me find the model number to ensure the correct part. Received the item on Tuesday late afternoon. Was a difficult time to connect the new bake unit to the electrical wires, a tight spot to work in. Took over 2-1/2 hours but we were finally able to get the wires connected. Thought one of the screws was defective, but we kept at it. A really tricky process, but we persisted and at last the stubborn screw seemed to work and was able to get it tight. Used the oven the following night to bake chicken and potatoes and it worked great. Checked the oven temperature and it was pretty accurate. I am happy, another satisfied customer. Replaced the element. 

Slid out right side and bottom panels. Removed two screws that hold burner in place. Slid out far enough to remove wiring of two screw connections. Reconnected wiring to new burner and slid back in place. Once in place installed two screws to hold burner in place. Slid the two panels back in oven. It was a very easy replacement. 

Ordered a baking element from your online store. I still can't believe you had the part! Electric range is 28 years old! The fix was easy. 

My son-in-law came over and in a matter of minutes had it installed and working 

Ordering the new part was a breeze but was hard to disassemble (very old). Installing the new part was easy and it works perfectly. 

Sent in the drawing number for that particular Range model the researchers were able to come up with the correct drawing and part numbers for that I'm grateful.Blessings to All. 

Oven is great but old and the part was still readily available from AppliancePartsPros at a fair and reasonable price. The part was a perfect fit !!
