Roy M Columbia , SC April 04, 2017 Appliance: Model GE DRYER Timer switch malfunction dial knob and timer knob post stripped Unplugged dryer. Removed 6 screws holding back on dryer. removed wires one at a time from old timer switch then place each wire on new switch in corresponding location (same letter). removed timer switch from dryer base by twisting counter clockwise. Put new wired switch in dyer base twisting clockwise. replaced 6 screws holding back plate on. re-plugged power. Tested. entire process took less than 5 minutes Read More... The clip is like a spring clip which locks knob onto timer shaft. Just line knob "D" shaped opening to the flat on the timer shaft and push onto timer shaft. Would have taken less time if the video had said to spray the old connectors with WD40 to make them much easier to come off. Was having difficulty trying to get connectors off until I thought to spray them with WD40. They came off easily after spraying. Read More...
