How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3994965 / WH01X10310 Control Knob Assembly

Watched the Appliancepartspros video, ordered the part, and installed the new control knob on my washer in less than one minute. The match was exact and the repair couldn't have been easier. Apparently, it is common for the knob to fail after several years of use on a GE washer. I really appreciate Appliancepartspros service. 

Watch your video and it took about 3 min. to repair. 

Per the video, removed the old one with a needle nose pliers by removing the timer knob clip and then pushed the new one on. Part ordered and arrived within 2 days. 

I ordered the part, viewed the repair video and fixed it myself in just a few minutes.

Removed and replaced both. 

Watched a video on youtube and it looked so simple to fix I ordered the part and bypassed a service call. It was SUPER easy to pull a little clip holding the dial on and then just taking it off. Slip the new one on and your done. I did replace the dial and the larger plastic back plate (with the black arrow indicator on it) I wasn't sure if I need to do that (I didn't) but I played it safe. 

Timer washer was broke and replaced timer washer then timer dial and control knob. All works great now and took about 10 minutes total time!!!
