How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3994965 / WH01X10310 Washer Timer Control Knob Assembly

I removed the retention clip with a pair of needle-nose pliers, swapped the old knob with the replacement, and inserted the new retention clip with the same pliers. Total repair time was less than five minutes. 

Went to U tube, watched ordered and fixed. 

Replaced 

Replaced Pressure Switch and Control Knob. 

Replaced the dial, knob. Easy fix. 

Watched online installation 

Replaced old control knob with new. Works well. 

I love how you just enter the model # of the appliance and it shows a breakdown of the parts needed. once there you just click on the part and your do it yourself video pops up with very simple instructions on fixing the problem. After spending just $25 on parts and shipping I was back in business in 2 days. Imagine hiring a person to come out and fix it! 

I watched the video, ordered the parts. Took less than five minutes to do the repair. The washer now works like a new one. The washer was manufactured in 1998 so I guess it was time for parts. lol
