How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP7210320 / WB27X45466 Electric Range Oven Control Board

Replaced Oven Control Board and Faceplate Graphics. I had watched the instructional videos in advance, so that I could assist my son in the repair. It was fortunate that I did so, because he started unscrewing the front of the range first. The repair was simple, we followed other reviewers instructions by systematically switching each plug, one by one. After everything was attached to the new control board, we plugged in the range to make sure everything was functional before attaching the face plate. The lighting of the new control board is significantly brighter than the old one. Everything works great! 

Ordered new panel, easily installed. 

Ordered the part next day shipping replaced it worked right off the bat !! 

Bought new board went in easy and good as new. 

Thermostat checked good with VOC Circuit board was next step 

I have to replace the over control broad . It was real easy. Took about 15 or 20 minutes. Hardest part was pulling the oven out to take the back off. Wiring was real easy to. It was all cover coded. and had take the touch pad off old broad and put back on new one that was easy also. Just peeled it off and put on new broad didn't need glue. needed a 1/4" nut driver that was it. 

Thru troubleshooting the electrical circuits and homing the heat elements with a fluke digital multimeter, I determined that a relay on the control board wasn't allowing the elements get the proper voltage. The controller clock and buttons would work because they only require 120 volts but when you would try and use the oven or burners, which require 240 volts, the relays on the control board wouldn't close to allow the elements to heat properly. Used the part number on the back of the control board and called at 7pm on Easter Sunday and ordered the part. Recieved the part 2 days later, installed it, and all worked well. Thank you very much. 

Ordered replacement board and installed it. The only problem was transferring the decal which is mounted on the plastic case attached to the new board, but it worked out with a little care. 

Replaced the control unit in about 5 minutes. It was a piece of cake (and now I am having one)!
