How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2047302 / WH43X139 Fabric Softener Dispenser

I immediately look online because the washer could not be ran like this. The slit was deep and could cause water to seep in internally. I couldn't find the part # so I enter the description Fabric Softner Despenser GE washer and it was the first item on the list. I ordered it on 2 day delivery on Sunday evening and arrived on Wednesday. I was immediately given a confirmation by email and shortly a tracking#. It fit and worked perfect! I am very impressed! 

Replaced it! 

Replaced agitator and softener dispenser according to video on site. The harder part was getting the old agitator out because it was stuck. I bought straps but mine kept getting loose because they are too silky hence slippery. 

I googled the part I was looking for and came across appliance parts pro. I was having trouble finding the exact part so I clicked on the help link. The agent I spoke with was extremely helpful and very courteous. I received the part quickly and assembly was quick and easy. A few days later, the handle on my dishwasher broke. Want back on their website and ordered the part for that. The website provided so much help that I am sure I have saved a lot doing it myself rather than calling a repairman.
