How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2039914 / WD24X10014 Drain Hose

I replace drain hose and this took care of problem. 

Ordered new lines took about 2 minutes to replace, using only needle nose pliers to depress the compression clamps 

Located appliance model number and searched internet for parts. Watched Appliance Parts Pros tutorials for reference. 

I followed the water path from the valve under the sink to the valve in the dishwasher. Checked that the valve in the dishwasher was not opening and that it was not plugged. But the solenoid integrated with the valve was not activated. Checked the diagrams on AppliancePartsPros.com for this dishwasher model number and ordered the valve. This was the easy part. While I was at it, I ordered the 2 hoses from and in the dishwasher for the return of the used water to the sink as they were many years old. Again, it was easy to identify them and ordered them. I often try to fix things myself first. AppliancePartsPros.com is especially easy to find the required parts. 

I replaced Inlet valve, it was easy to do. Also did some maintenance on machine. Parts fit perfectly 

I found the parts through the G.E. parts manual and ordered them through Appliance Parts Pros. Replacement of parts was pretty easy with a couple of youtube videos. Parts were delivered promptly and well packaged. All in all about an hour of total time to get the tools together, pull the dishwasher from under the cabinet, and replace the parts. Also cleaned out filter assembly while I had the parts out. 

Fast shipping of parts. Repairs went well 

The repair video was great, I was able to replace the drain hose without any problems. 

Parts were here in a couple of days. Straight forward to replace. Had to disconnect power/wiring in the process which I didn't like but wasn't hard. Got to love those multi-meters to make sure there's no live wires. 

Dish rack simply replaced the rusted out one we had been using. No issues here. Replacement of the drain hose was a little more involved. But it went well although I noted that the replacement hose was just a bit shorter than the one I replaced. It did require turning off the water supply and disconnecting the water line to the dishwasher. Replacing the drain hose was easy, but getting to the areas to replace the hose required some dexterity.
