How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3419523 / WH41X10096 Washer Drain Hose

I returned to the store to get a drain hose and was told they didn't have one but I could buy it at lowes and they gave me a $50 on my charge account I got the washer on. The universal hose that Lowes sells doesn't work on my washer. I was very aggravated that I still couldn't do laundry even though I had a brand new washer. I ordered correct drain hose from applianopartspro.com and had it 4 days later which was a lot sooner than I thought I'd get it. 

Took the time to read the instructions that came with the washer. Decided to tackle the machine by myself, and everything went just fine. Never be afraid to try and fix things yourself. The internet and youtube offer so much help if you need it!!

Remove two screws on lower hose bracket, pull tube out of receiving sleeve. Put a bit of laundry detergent on new hose nipple to lube. Slide tube in, push bracket flush to cabinet, reattach screws. Guide tube thru tube holder at midpoint of cabinet and direct towards laundry sink. Easy. 

Ordered the replacement hose and installed it. 

Exactly the way you show in your video for that part. Except that unlike Matt's experience in the video, I didn't have "some" water come out when I pulled the old drain hose out - I had a LOT of water come out, overflowing the catch pan I'd set up beneath it. A LOT of water. Had a bunch of cleanup to do, but overall, it was a very easy part to replace, and the replacement hose you sent me was a perfect match and made for a very easy install. Thank you! 

I ordered a hose from appliance pros parts .com and it was a simple fix with a screwdriver and it took about five minutes or less. 

Replaced with GE original part,and changed fill hoses at the same time as they were getting old. 

Ordered the replacement hose and installed it in less than 10 minutes 

We went to Home Depot looking for replacement parts but none were in stock and we were desperate. I looked up the website address of AppliancePartsPros.com. & we had them in 2 days via FedEx. I was concerned about hubby installing the parts himself, as he is not exactly a handyman around the house, and I was afraid we would end up with even more water flooding the already soaked laundry room floor. I wanted to call in a plumber to install the 2 parts but after reading the instructions, hubby was sure he could do the work. I was blown away when he connected the hose and clip with a Phillips screwdriver only 15 minutes after taking the parts out of the box and then announced that the washer was ready to use. He never even bothered to watch the installation video--it was that easy!
