How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2073458 / WR72X208 Drawer Rail Slide

I contacted appliance parts pro , gave model # looked up slide #'s ordered them, and received in 2 day and installed 3 days later no problem . wife happy me happy everybody happy . I highly recommend appliance parts pro, and the price was great too. 

Replace 

Ice maker had stopped a year ago, I replaced water valve and it lived again. About 2 months ago, it developed a problem of not stopping making ice, even if level arm raised to off position. I ordered the replacement ice maker. Although it looked a bit different, with the adapter wiring, it all fit in place. It took longer to figure out how to route the wire harness for unit to avoid obstructing the ice cube box than actual replacement of the ice maker. The harness actually needs to go UP and counter clockwise loop then to plug to allow clearance. It now works perfectly. Our old refrigerator has all new drawer slides, new water valve, and new ice maker for less than a monthly payment on a new refrigerator. Our stove has new oven burners and a new top burner heat control rheostat , so it is again working well. Appliance Parts Pros has been fantastic on parts availability, decent prices, awesome service, fast shipping and just in time training on a diagnosis and/or repair procedure. 

After ordering the wrong parts, I a quick correction with parts the were correct. Thanks for good and efficient service. Yes,I will call you in the future if needed. 

My GE side by side refrigerator is over 20 years old, but it still runs and I like it. They don't make that style anymore. I overloaded the bottom drawer of the refrigerator and broke the slide. I went to the local appliance store and received a negative response. I than went home and googled GE refrigerator repair parts. Appliance Parts Pros cougt my eye. I checked them out, I typed in the make and modle of my refrigerator. I couldn't believe my eyes. There was the exact part I needed. I compared the slide I removed from my refrigerator with the three views on the parts screen. They were exactly the same. I ordered the part and three days later the part was delivered by UPS. I called a1-800 number from a picture on the internet. The young man was extra nice. with my model number he found the parts, I ordered them on a Thursday. He said they would be here on Monday. They were here on Saturday, opened them , determined which I needed. and put them in the 'frig. 

The web site at Applianceparts.com had a video showing in detail how to make the repair. I ordered a replacement rail slide and it arrived within 2 days. That's extremely fast. I removed the two Phillips head screws and the broken slider rail. I held the new rail in place and replaced the 2 Phillips head screws. The whole repair took about 3 minutes. It couldn't have been easier to accomplish. 

I ordered a replacement bracket. When the new bracket arrived, I removed the broken one and installed the replacement one.
