How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2044592 / WH1X2026 Drive Belt

I researched the problems on your site and watched the videos. Then I ordered the parts. They were here the next day. I am a female and my husband was out of town. The videos were so well done and simple to follow and I felt I could do it. It took me longer I am sure than others due to lack of muscle, but I kept my ipad close and the videos running and did it! I am washing clothes again. You have a great site! And I am quite proud of myself! 

My husband took it off, matched it. 

Located the part # on the GE machine.. found the belt for my machine on your website. very easy to order. my boyfriend put the drive belt on the washer. Works good as new. 

Replaced belt with part ordered from your company, it arrived in record time, thank you. 

I ordered it for my mother and it was exactly the belt that was needed . There were very pleasant and has also bragged about the easiness of purchase and correct part. 

My husband replaced it with the new drive belt. 

First I removed the back cover (this is a 18 yr old washer). I removed the coupling between the motor and the pump, removed the belt, cleaned the grease off of the pulley. Put the new belt on the smaller pulley, put the new belt on the larger pulley as much as I could, and then turned the larger pulley until the belt jumped on the pulley. I put the coupling back on between the motor and the pump, putting on the lower clamp first and then the upper clamp. 

Replaced with new belt 

Followed directions on You Tube. Had pump to replace anyway so did both together. 

Took off the back panel of the machine, found the broken belt. Got a new one from you folks, (which arrived the day after I ordered it!!!), removed the set screws from the rubber connector that links the motor to the tub, slipped the belt on, put back the rubber connector, and presto!!!
