How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3203248 / WR17X11459 Drive Cup

Got drive cup part and watched video and it worked great Totally fixed problem! 

First I watched the video on your site “how to replace your drive cup” and then ordered the replacement part. I removed the ice bucket and began the replacement using only a Philips screwdriver. The repair was quick and simple and inexpensive. The rotor now turns with ease and the ice maker drops the cubes perfectly once again. 

I watched the video twice & was able to make the repair without too much difficulty. Disassembly was a bit tricky. The use of several putty knives is very helpful to gently pry apart the two sections. 

TOOK IT APART AND TOOK OUT THE OLD DRIVE CUP IT WAS BROKEN IN 2 THE REASON IT BROKE THE NYLON NUT ON THE OTHER END SCREWED ITSELF FURTHER ON THE SHAFT LETTING THE DRIVE CUP COME OUT OF ITS POCKET IT WAS HARD TO GET APART THE DRIVE SCREW ACTUALLY DRILLED THROUGH THE SIDE OF THE BUCKET. I HAD TO PRY IT APART VERY CAREFULLY WITHOUT BREAKING IT. I PUT A NEW NUT ON IT 

Replaced the old broken cup with a new cup. 

Watching the video made it easy. 

Ordered a drive cup and replaced that and it still wouldn't work. Emptied all the ice that was in the bin and reassembled all and it now works. 

The problem was the helix plate was stripped, but I replaced the drive cup as well. Parts fit correctly videos were a big help. 

Purchased replacement cup from AppliancePartsPros. Disassembled ice box to access broken cup. Installed new cup. Reassembled ice box. 

After viewing your youtube I was able to repair the dispenser and got ice flowing again. Your youtube and parts schematic was VERY helpful to allow me to fix it myself. Great job from your company!
