How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2632445 / WB27X10311 Electronic Control Board

A repairman put his meter on the control panel and said it was going bad but he thought it would last a while longer. It didn't . Instead of calling the repairman to come back out, I ordered the repair part and installed it myself. The new one was slightly different then the one that I took out. The plugs were in different places but with the diagram that came with it I figured out which wire went where. My range has a red wire for the hot wire the diagram said it should be black. It works fine now. 

First off, I was not able to identify the model number correctly ( scratches on the label). I finally called to find out if I could ever get a part for my oven. The lady operator was extremely helpful, and it blew my mind when the part arrived the next day... It was the right part and as with all electric parts sometimes they get re-designed and it will be a challenge to connect.. this one came with instructions and made the job very easy. 

Replaced the oven coil and the brain board. Easy fix stove works as it should. Repairs saved me 400 dollars.
