Ordered both the touch pad assembly and the controller board. Disassembled the GE Café Gas stove. Removed fried touch pad. temporary plugged in new glass touch pad. Restored electrical power. Observed that new touch pad was functioning correctly thus validating that the existing controller board did not need replacement. Re-assembled stove. All good!
