Steve January 16, 2017 for Model Number GE CAFE MODEL C2S980SEM5SS The clock on the glass control panel does not keep correct time anymore. The clock works and is visible, its just that it doesn't keep time correctly. It appears that the temperature settings and all other controls work fine. Is there a way of reprogramming the clock or is a new controller needed? If needed is it difficult to replace?

1 Answer Hello Santo, Some models have the gas/control lockout feature. The use and care guide describes this option as follows: Your control will allow you to lock out the surface burners and control panel so they cannot be activated. To lock/unlock the controls: 1.Turn all surface burners off. 2.Touch and hold the GAS/CONTROL LOCKOUT pad for 3 seconds until the display shows LOC. 3.To unlock the control, touch and hold the GAS/CONTROL LOCKOUT pad for 3 seconds until LOC disappears from the display. When this feature is on and the touchpads are touched, the control will beep and the display will show LOC. The control lock-out mode affect all controls.
