How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3792823 / WB15X10144 Handle Blk

I followed the instructions on the You Tube video, which was very helpful and even though it took longer than expected I was able to get the outer strip plus the inner door out to replace the handle. 

Ordered New handle, got it the very next day, 1/2 he later it was good as new.. 

Thanks to excellent trouble shooting advice from you guys, it turned out that power outages had caused surges that blew a fuse. Since you had the parts, I was also able to repair the door handle. The only reason it took longer than 15 minutes was because of care taken to avoid breaking anything and having to realign the outer cover for a tight fit. Thanks for the help. 

Ordered new handle and installed it myself 

Removed the door, disassembled the back side of the door, removed the old broken handle by removing the 4 screws. Then installing the new handle with the 4 screws and reassembled the back side of the door and reinstalled the doorto front of microwave. 

Parts were exact. Fix was easy. The YouTube was "spot on". Gave me several tips that made the job easier, most worthwhile. 

Worked out great, took the inner part off. Replace the outer and the handle, put the inner part back on, all done. 

Looked on utube and found video explaing repair. Unfortunately was not able to pry front portion from door to expose second set of screws. Had to drill through door, so hole for screw could be accessed from inside. Once done, had to get longer screws and attach outer portion of handle. Still not sure why handle was two parts and not one solid part 

Disassembled door, replaced handle, reassembled door. 

We removed the front of the door and the frame and re-assembled with the new parts. Very Fast, Very Easy and correct parts
