Nicholas F Muscatine , IA July 19, 2016 Appliance: General Electric Free Standing Microwave JVM1870BF001 The microwave door handle had broken at the bottom Step 1: Input the model number into the parts lookup at AppliancePartsPros.com. Order parts. Step 2: Go to YouTube.com and find the Appliance Parts Pros channel, search for "microwave door handle," and review the video while wife and daughter are out so I can look like I know what I'm doing later when the part arrives and the ladies are around to see me in action. Step 3: With a putty knife and a Phillips screwdriver, perform the repair as demonstrated by Matt in the YouTube video. Step 4: Inform my wife that the door handle is fixed within 7 minutes of bringing in the mail on the day the new door handle arrived. Step 5: Bask in the adoration of my wife and daughter, which they lovingly shower upon me for being such a handy guy who fixes our stuff instead of wasting our household budget on new stuff every time something breaks, acts funny, or causes them to think it might be wearing out. James M Sacramento , CA August 18, 2014 Appliance: General Electric Free Standing Microwave JVM1870BF04 The bottom of the handle on my microwave broke I watched a couple of videos on line for how to replace the handle on my GE Profile Spacemaker XL1800. I used a putty knife to pry off the inside frame, removed the screws from the old handle and replaced the old handle with the new one. I would like to point out that from the time I ordered the handle from Appliance Parts Pros until the actual installation was slightly less than 24 hours. Of course it probably helps to be in the same state. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
