How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2020721 / WB14X104 Right Door Hinge

Delivery was unbelievably FAST. Easy replacement of heating element. Since I was ordering it I decided to get new hinges too. They were also easy to replace. Cleaning the oven before I put everything back together was a bigger job than the repairs. 

Hinge was visible. Easy to remove. Contacted AppliancePartsPros about parts. Exploded diagrams made identifying needed part easy. Phone person confirmed part number after we talked about description and Model Number.. Piece of cake!! It took about 10 minutes to fix. 

Simply unscrewed the hinges, disconnected the springs and replaced everything. 

Removed it by unscrewing 3 screws, connecting the spring to the new hinge, then rescrewing it in with the same 3 screws. The only thing that might be tricky was holding the spring while attaching it to the new hinge. I tied a strong string to the hooked end before I removed it from the old hinge in case it fell back into the oven body. then I held the spring end with pliers to transfer the spring hook to the new hinge hole. Very simple job, maybe 5 or ten minutes staring at it, about 3 minutes to actually fix it! 

Replaced both hinges. I found the parts on this website after local repair parts store told me they had been discontinued. Worked great and saved my oven! 

Fix went well but for one screw that was rusted fast. Took a little time to break it loose. 

Replaced right hinge 

I have not had a chance to repair the hinges yet. I had tried to find these pieces locally in Washington DC area and could not find them. I'm glad there were available here. Arrived in a short time and they are the exact parts I needed. Since I was placing an order for the hinges I looked at other parts available. The Burner Bowls were available at a good price. The old ones could no longer be cleaned and had hard, thick deposits on the surface that looked like burned food. Now the stove top looks like I have cleaned it. The new bowls have an indentation that fits tightly and keeps the Bowls in place. Much better! 

I repaired the door within 20 minutes. I received the parts within two days. Thank you for your prompt service . Kenneth 

Replaced both the right and left side hinge. After removing the left hinge, the white roller was damaged which explains why the door was binding on the left side of the door while opening it. So I looked about on the internet,, made a phone call to you Appliance Parts and you help me understand which part I needed and how to install it.
