How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3873795 / WB24T10119 Infinite Control Switch

Replaced switch. The replacement part was at my door within 48 hours, as promised. 

Installed infinite control switch, after looking at your site and reading about the problem. 

The GE cook top came with the house my Daughter bought and was so old the model number was obsolete. Kathy Powell put in a lot of extra time and effort to determine what the replacement parts should be. My hat goes off to her and the research team. I have not opened my cooktop to inspect first and order these parts as I thought. Once I opened the cooktop and found the correct problem is the wire of the burner was broken. So I ordered the other part to replace the burner and I just finished the repair yesterday and the cooktop is working now. 

We ordered from you according to our Model number. My husband shut off the power. By the way, he is 76 and I am 74 and teamwork got it done. I found something to prop the cooktop up higher and held the flashlight. Also the instructions for part A or B was very helpful he could go to the wire on our old A and tell where to put it on part B which you sent us. I am so happy we fixed it. The last time it was fixed we paid $159 and the repairman put a plastic extender on the stem. This time it broke clear off. Our previous repairman many years ago told us they didn't make that part anymore. Thank you. 

Found the part very easily on AppliancePartsPros.com and was 1/2 the cost of another website! Changed part with no problems at all ! Great site to find parts- I highly recommend this site! 

Replace switch. 

I was just about to buy another cooktop when accidentally found your site. Watched a video of how to fix a burner control http://www.appliancepartspros.com/ge-infinite-control-switch-wb24t10119-ap3873795.html#autoplay . I had paid $100 for a tech to see our cooktop, he told me it will cost about $800 to fix or need to buy another one. I was in process of buying one for $1400 where I saw a video on your site. I used your chat service and explained the issue and they told me what to purchase and total was about $33. Just replaced it with my wife (was a fun project too) and it worked. Thanks for your help.
