How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5956400 / WE05X20431 Lamp

After watching the tutorial video, I realized I could easily repair my dryer myself. The repair literally took less than 10 minutes, cost under $40 to fix everything, and I didn't have to hire someone to come into my house and charge me a fortune. I replaced the broken drum bearing, replaced some bearing slides, and discovered my dryer has a light inside! No more metal on metal screeching. Shipping took only two days. The initial delivery was incomplete, but I called customer service and they shipped the left out part immediately. 

It was easy to pull apart with the videos and inspect the problem. Parts were easy to order with diagrams. Order arrived timely and reassembly easy. With the economy as is, saving money of a repairman, or purchase of new dryer... Appliance parts pros made it easy. Thank you. 

I replaced the parts ordered from AppliancePartsPros.com , and the problem was solved. The How-To-Do-It video gave me the confidence that I needed to do the repair myself, and I did. 

This was not a major repair. We have had this GE dryer for 12 years or so. The light bulb that illuminates the drum finally burned out. I tried Home Depot, Lowes, Sears and Local Ace Hardware. No one had a direct replacement. I did some surfing and found this site. I ordered the bulb (I actually ordered two). The bulb is located just above the door (from the owner's manual). It was a quick unscrew the old and screw in the new. Delivery was quick and I laud the site for delivering the bulb well packaged in a sturdy box with plenty of padding.

I replaced the dryer belt, bearing slides (all 4), dryer drum front support bearing. I love the instruction video. Very well done. It made the job very easy.

Saw we could order new parts watched the helpful videos and did the replacement in less then 5 min and now its quiet! Thought I would have to buy a new dryer for Christmas!
