My refrigerator is about 15 years old and although my husband was all for buying a new one I couldn't justify the cost if this one was repairable.
We purchased a condenser fan and an evaporator fan and my husband installed. It (smart guy).and now my frig works like a charm. I hated the idea of spending over 2K for a refrigerator or anything else if it can be repaired.
Our repair was about $200.00, we saved the cost of a repairman and a new frig. Not bad.
