How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2031031 / WB44X200 Oven Bake Element

Watched video on APP website. Reached out on the chat option to ask for assistance in locating the correct part. I was totally surprised when I received a text less than 2 mins later and had part on its way to me in less than 7 mins. Outstanding customer service at 9 PM on the west coast!! 

Replaced the old one with the new one. 

Ordered replacement element r&r old element. tested oven for proper operation. 

Took off old one put new one on. Without removing the oven door, reaching to the back of the over and trying to applying sufficient torque to the connection screws, without bending the element, was awkward. I should have taken the time to figure out how to remove the door. It would have gone more quickly. The element label was also very difficult to read, but the very obvious shapes found on the ordering webpage made it easy to select the right one. I discovered after removal the number is embossed on bottom of the element retainer panel which would have been trivial to read once the element was removed. Again, if I had taken the door off, all of this would have been much easier.. 

It fixed the problem I had.. 

I called appliance parts pros and gave the gentleman the name of oven and model of the stove. And in no time the order was complete.Thanks again for the response.

The new element came wth everything I needed. It was very easy to install. 

I came across appliance parts pros.com and a list in a common causes for the oven not heating up. Check my oven and confirmed that it was the heating element that was not heating up. I called him on the phone and gave them my model number and they sent me the part I needed. The video on the website showed me how to install it and it was super easy. 

Replaced element. Ordering was easy. I entered some incorrect info during billing and called to talk with Joyce, who was helpful and very nice. Will definitely come back.
