How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2031031 / WB44X200 Oven Bake Element

Simple removal and replacement using a screwdriver. Received replacement parts from AppliancePartsPro the next day after ordering, very pleased with that. 

I unscrewed the two nuts 1/4 nut driver. Pulled out the coil about 2 inches.. unscrewed the Philip screwdrivers. Installed the part and I was good to go! 

I replaced the element. My oven is old, so I had to use screws for the connections, not clips as shown in the how to video. 

I "chatted" with the representative. She told me which element to order and offered to assist. It arrived in the mail days later. 

We replaced the heating element. 

Turned the power to the oven off. Unscrewed the element holding plate, carefully eased the element from the back of the oven. Unscrewed the connection wires from the element and replaced the old with the new. Screwed the holding plate back on the oven and turned my power to the oven back on. Voila! Christmas dinner was saved! 

My husband installed it himself. Appliance Parts Pros well exceeded our expectations and delivered our replacement part days earlier than expected. My husband watched the repair/installation video and did the entire replacement by himself. While he brought out a whole array of tools, he basically used the screwdriver. In about 15 minutes I had my oven back to normal. Thank you for having replacement parts to these older ovens. 

Unscrewed the old and plugged in the new one 

Order a bake unit and had it installed. 

Ordered new element and installed it.
