How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2014008 / WB2X9154 Round Style Oven Or Broiler Igniter

I purchased the exact part I needed to replace the Glow Bar (Round Syle Oven Igniter) and it worked !! 

Owner replaced the oven igniter. It took less than 30 minutes. 

Watched a couple repair videos to get a better understanding of the problem and access to the parts involved. The gas igniter was the problem and the video explained it's function and replacement. 

Replaced it with a quality part from partspros.com 

Replaced it! I'm very impressed with your shipping...I put in the order around 4pm and paid for overnight shipping. That evening you sent FedEx tracking number and I had the part 24 hours later. 

Replaced the lower igniter. Part fit perfect. I did have to pull the oven all the way out and take off the back panel to access the wire nuts. Two person job for the lift. easy fix 

Replaced round style oven igniter. This was the 3rd time for replacing the igniter, since the stove has been in use for around 25 years. It does take someone with some degree of mechanical knowledge since the video doesn't cover all appliance brands that may differ from the repair video. 

When I tried turning the oven on I could smell gas so I knew the problem wasn't with the supply side. I then checked the igniter looking up through the broiler section and I didn't see the glow of the igniter. Thus the problem was discovered and I ordered a new part. The oven has been cleaned out and the new part installed. The oven is running great and we are back to baking! 

I knew what the problem was due to the fact I had replaced the igniter about 10 years ago (It's an oldie but a goodie) Simply remove the bottom panels in the inside of the oven (2 hand screws) removed the igniter (2 screws and 2 electrical plugs) Back in business 30 minutes tops. 

Checked igniter with a multi-meter for continuity. There was none. Ordered an igniter. To get to the igniter, remove the racks and the bottom heat plates. Remove the old igniter and install the new one. Took me 25 minutes including chasing down my tools from the garage. The best part was that the part literally got here the next day from when I ordered it.
