How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2014008 / WB2X9154 Gas Range Oven Igniter

Replaced the oven igniter. The video provided easy step-by-step instructions for how to get to the old part, easily remove it, and replace it. I’m not a very “handy” person so without this site (part and video) I would have certainly been replacing my entire range. This site has helped me repair a OTR microwave, dryer, and now an oven. That’s money in my pocket and less trash in the landfill. I couldn’t be more satisfied!

Bought an igniter. We saw your video and fixed it. 

I replaced the round style oven igniter. Very easy. It works fine now. The hardest part was getting down under the oven (pulled out the drawer), and reaching to the back to disconnect and connect the device. That would have been easier for me 20 years ago, but still doable. I hooked up a work light to help see what I was doing as it was rather dark. 

Replaced igniter. 

Removed and replaced the igniter plug. 

Ordered the part, it arrived the next day. Best customer service ever. 

I have a 1995 Kenmore wall oven. Changing the baking ignitor wasn't too difficult a job to complete. My old ignitor didn't have a harness and one of the wires on the oven side was short but I was able to work with it and connect the new ignitor with ceramic wire nuts. Definitely a doable dyi job. Saved a few hundred dollars doing it myself. 

My son had fixed it before. He took it apart and replaced the part with the one I irdered. 

Fixed the problem by watching the tutorial and following the directions.
