How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2014008 / WB2X9154 Round Style Oven Or Broiler Igniter

I went on the internet and researched the problem and figured out that it was the igniter that went bad (very common). So I ordered the part but found that it was shipped poorly and was defective.(tested it with a multimeter- looked on the internet to know how to use it) when it arrived. I called AppliancePartsPros and explained the issue and was sent another igniter with fast shipping and no charge! I just installed the new part and it is working like a charm. I followed the instructions given by other purchasers on this site. I am 70 years old and not electrically savvy but it was not difficult following step by step info. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros for the fast shipping. I now have my oven working for the holiday.

Ordered a new igniter ,watched video and replaced the old igniter ,off and running in short order 

Called repair person after watching video and taking my stove apart 

First, a chat session with Appliance Parts Pros and your helpful appliance diagram helped me find the oven igniter. Then, part arrived and it was a simple replacement as the replacement part was identical to the original 

I replaced the igniter thing. 

Purchased replacement part from AppliancePartsPros.com was exactly what I needed except that the wires were about 1-2 inches too short. Tried a few local hardware stores (including big chain) and no one carried temperature resistant wire. Fortunately, the part came with ceramic wire caps so I used a piece of wire off the old igniter and spliced them together. 

Followed the same procedures from the last time and it was fixed and replaced in approximately 20 minutes. 

Replaced both upper broil and lower bake igniters 

It happened before (several years ago), so I knew immediately that it was very likely the same problem. My broiler has the same ignitor and it continued to work. I ordered the part, watched your video to refresh my memory and gather pointers from the pros and fixed it myself (with my husband as supervisor ).
