How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3886709 / WB16K10061 Oven Pilot With Thermocouple

I LOOKED UP THE PART ON THE WEB SITE COULD NOT FIND IT SO I CALLED THE THEY FOUND THE PART I NEEDED I THEN LOOKED IT UP ON THE WEB TO CONFERM THATS WHAT I NEEDED I USED A SCREW GUN TO DISASSEMBLE THE STOVE TOOK OUT THE BAD PART AN REPACED IT WITH THE NEW ONE REASSEMBLED THE STOVE AN IT WORKED JUST FINE THANK YOU ALSO I GOT THE PART IN ONE DAY 

Part arrived on delivery date around noon. we used the oven that evening to bake 2 birthday cakes. took entire day to fix but i took it apart and deep cleaned it so great save from the part thank you :) 

At first I did not think that I needed the oven burner, but I am glad that the two parts came together. On close examination with the oven burner unattached, I could see that part of the piece directing the pilot light upward was broken. Both needed to be replaced. Detaching the parts in the broiler is easy. Connecting the thermocouple to the oven knob is not hard but it does take some doing to get two panels off so that you can get the thermocouple to the place where the it screws into the oven temperature knob regulator. To place the thermocouple I took off the back panel. One could probably only take off one side of the back panel. The knobs and the panel holding the knobs has to be removed too. With the back off it was easy to slide the copper tubing of the thermocouple under the burners towards the front where it is screwed in. This is the first time that I have repaired something like this and it went well. The oven worked on the first try. 

Put in the new piece 

Purchased an oven burner and thermocouple from you. Arrived very fast!! Works great! 

I purchased a new Thermocouple and burner. Replaced it today November 15, 2020. Will be using it to cook supper tonight. Here's to hoping everything goes well. 

Replaced thermocoupler. 

Replaced the whole burner unit because just the thermocouple is not available. 

Pulled out my stove and turned off the gas. Removed the oven bottom to expose the burner(2 thumb screws). Removed all the burner knobs then removed the cover under the knobs (7 screws). Removed the thermocouple tubing from oven valve(5/16wrench). Removed the burner pipe and thermocouple ( 3-1/4" screws and 5/16 and 7/16 wrenches). Cut off old thermocouple line from burner and taped on the end of the new line and pulled out the old to pull in the new line. Reconnected everything in reverse order above. And light new pilot. While I am mechanically inclined, but never worked on a stove before. Install was completed in about 40 minutes.
