How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4300623 / WR07X10097 Ptc Start Relay & Overload Protector Assembly (Compressor)

First it was the mother board so i replaced that then i heard a clicking at the compressor so i tested the compressor and it was good so i took off the relay and flipped out upside down and you can hear it rattle. Bought the part and reconnected it in two seconds started cooling and was cooled back down in about two hours 

First I replaced the main circuit board. That did not solve the problem. Then I replaced this part. Problem solved!!! I broke open the old part and found some evidence of burning. One other note, our ice maker was forming solid blocks of ice,the cubes were fused together. Now the cubes are seperate and are easy to take out. 

At first i ordered a motherboard and that turned out not to be the problem. A customer service rep. advised to try a new relay. It worked great. The fridge is back to normal. Could not have done it without the assistance from Applianancepartspro.com Thanks Again 

I replaced the start relay and overload. It was a 15 minute job. Frig started up and has been running like a top.
